Sails in September
Sailfish have been active offshore so far in September. It’s a great start to the season! After a 30 minute battle Fernando landed the biggest sail of the year on Saturday. Congratulations on a beautiful fish buddy! These fish are eating a variety of live baits. Dropping down we are catching king mackerel, mutton snapper, and porgies.
The bite around the beach is picking up! Some Mullet are here! If you like catching fish on plugs, its time guys! There will be plenty of snook, tarpon, ladyfish, jacks and Spanish mackerel to catch. We have been having a blast catching snook and jacks around bait balls. A jerk bait or swim bait has been working well around schools of mullet.
Inshore there are plenty of mangrove snapper. Some of these fish are chubby. Jacks are cruising seawalls and willing to eat pretty much everything. The night snook bite is hot! We have had night trips this week with over 20 releases. If you need some action call 561-214-2271. The boat is secured in the yard and out of the water for a few days. Everyone please stay safe! Irma will be here soon!
